On This Page

Nothing can differentiate a brand like color. It creates context and sets a mood. It can create a lasting impression and is an instantly recognizable part of a brand.

Sun-approved, Pantone® coated colors. *

These colors have been selected for what they say individually and in combination with each other. And it is very important that they be used in the right way, and given the right prominence.

Sun Blue and Sun Orange, the core brand colors, were used in creating the Sun marks. Sun Green and Sun Yellow broaden the primary color palette and support the core brand colors.

Note that colors are not specific to a particular Sun product, brand, or service.

Primary Brand Colors

These are the primary colors used in all Sun communications. Use one, two, or even three colors on the same page, but never all four. Due to its light appearance, Sun Yellow should never lead in a design or be used as the backdrop for a white logo.

Secondary Brand Colors

Secondary brand colors provide variety through layering and transparency options. They can be used in any Sun communication, but should be used most often as accent colors.

Tertiary Brand Colors

Tertiary brand colors are used to support and accent the other colors. They should never be used as a backdrop for a brand mark.

Neutral Brand Colors

Neutral brand colors are used to support and accent all brand colors. They can be used in any Sun communication.

Note: The coatings used on coated stock paper cause a shift in hue. For this reason, it is important to use a different version of the color for uncoated stock, as we don't have to accommodate for the color shift. In order to always get true, consistent color, please make sure to use the correct color code for the paper you are using.
